Social Work and
Therapy

LCSWs are Master level providers with extensive training to provide mental health therapy that is strength based. LCSW framework takes into account not only the individual patient emotional and psychological makeup, but also societal and environmental factors that can impact the well-being of the patient through evidence based therapies.

Services

Gynecology & Obstetrics

Gynecology is the branch of physiology and medicine that deals with the functions and diseases specific to female biology, especially those that affect the reproductive system. We are able to assist with pre-pregnancy health, pregnancy, health problems following childbirth, genetics, and genetic counseling. We also assist with other women’s health issues, such as menopause, hormone problems, contraception (birth control), and infertility. Many women begin to visit a gynecologist from their early teens and then continue to attend a well-woman clinic for general health issues as well. Women are advised to visit a gynecologist annually for a checkup, and also anytime they have symptoms in this area that concern them.

Endocrinology

An endocrinologist is a doctor that deals with diseases related to problems with hormones. A hormone is a chemical messenger that travels from one cell to another. Hormones are released in one part of the body, travel through the bloodstream, and have an effect on another part of the body. This helps different parts of the human body communicate with each other. Endocrine glands are responsible for regulating and secreting hormones, such as the pituitary, thyroid, or adrenal glands. Hormones influence or control a wide range of physiological activities, such as growth development, puberty, level of alertness, sugar regulation and appetite, bone growth, and more. Problems with hormones and the way they work contribute to some of the major diseases of mankind such as diabetes, thyroid conditions, pituitary conditions, some sexual problems, and more. Our endocrinology department will work with you to regulate hormonal issues.

Nephrology

Nephrology is an internal medicine specialty that focuses on the treatment of diseases that impact the kidneys. Everybody has two kidneys, located under your ribcage on either side of your spine. Your kidneys remove waste and excess fluid from the blood, maintain your body’s electrolyte balance, and release hormones with functions such as managing blood pressure. Our nephrologists specialize in treating diseases of the kidney. Not only do our nephrologists have expertise on diseases that specifically affect the kidney, but they’re also highly knowledgeable regarding how kidney disease or dysfunction can affect other parts of your body.

Social Work

Health is not only physical but mental. LCSWs are Master level providers who have gone through extensive training to provide strength-based mental health therapy. Our LCSW Susan works with patients to find out the unique strong natural skills and talents that they possess in order to use them as a launching point to tackle issues that cause hardship in their life. The LCSW framework functions holistically, taking into account not only the individual emotional and psychological makeup of the patient, but also societal and environmental factors that can impact the well-being of the patient through evidence-based therapies. We believe that health and well-being starts with your state of mind.

Dermatology

Health is not just skin-deep. Dermatology is an area of medicine that focuses on health issues which affect the skin, hair, nails, and mucous membranes. The skin is the largest organ of the body, and is also the first line of defense against pathogens and injury, making it a great indicator of how your overall health is. Our dermatologists have a great depth of clinical knowledge, including, for example, the various internal health problems that can be reflected in skin symptoms. Our dermatologists are licensed to treat more than 3,000 conditions.

Cardiology

Cardiology is the study and treatment of disorders of the heart and the blood vessels. A person who is affected with heart disease or cardiovascular disease may be referred to a cardiologist. A cardiologist is not the same as a cardiac surgeon; a cardiac surgeon performs heart surgery by opening the chest cavity. A cardiologist, on the other hand, specializes in diagnosing and treating diseases of the cardiovascular system. The cardiologist will carry out tests, and they may perform certain procedures, such as heart catheterizations, angioplasty, or putting in a pacemaker. Our highly qualified specialists will assist you with your cardiology needs and treatment.

Infectious Disease

Infectious diseases are caused by foreign organisms such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, or parasites. There are many organisms who live in and on our bodies that are typically harmless or are even beneficial. Under certain conditions, however, some organisms may result in disease. Signs and symptoms vary depending on the organism in question, but often include fever and fatigue. While mild infections may respond to rest and home remedies, it’s important to consult with our medical professionals if you feel ill as certain life-threatening infections may require hospitalization.
